EDUCATIONAL TRAVEL & HOMEWORK

When families are planning to be away on a trip, many reach out to our teachers for homework to do while they are away. Our teachers are not required to prepare assignments in advance of a family trip. That being said, I encourage you to have your child read daily, write in a travel journal to share with their teacher when they return, and practice their math facts daily. Online resources are available through Clever located on the district website umasd.org under Student Resource.  We want you to enjoy your time as a family and ask that you support your child in making up any missed assignments in the days after they return to school.

Please be sure to submit a Education Trip Request Form 2 weeks before your trip.
